Lowercase Tap Room

the Story
The folks over at Lowercase Brewing wanted to open their first tap room. They have an off-site brewery and wanted a fun place to share their creations. We converted an old mechanic shop/gas station into the new tap room. We had a tight budget, but we wanted to make it happen as this would help the community. There were structural issues that needed to be improved and I remember the structural engineer wrote his contract for 40 beers haha. We had to decommission the underground gas tanks, which was a bit of work. Also, since this was converting from a garage to tap room, we had some energy requirements to make it all work. It took some negotiating with the city, but we got it all to work out. The reclaimed wood that you see in the pictures is actually pallet wood from Boeing, which is right across the street. We worked with an interior designer on the artwork and furniture. This was a fun project to work on.
