Modern Cantilevered

the Story
This house sits on an awesome property high up in the hills of Seattle with an epic view of Puget Sound. The client wanted to have a massive cantilevered deck for entertaining. He took it even a step further and wanted to make the house look like it was hanging off the edge of the cliff. We compromised with just one corner of the house, thanks to the structural engineers. To say we had pin piles is an understatement. This house is not going anywhere. We wanted to make sure that no views were missed, so we covered the west side of the house in a massive amount of glass. We were worried about the house overheating so we made sure to get the best windows possible and ended up with some European windows that are kick ass.
